Welcome To vbPortal.org

Our primary goal is to demonstrate the flexibility of the vbportal content management system 'CMS' 'CMPS' portal front end for vbulletin. vbPortal takes your vbulletin forums to the next level by adding the most flexible ( CMS ) content management system known to exist, written primarily for dedicated integration into the vbulletin forum software. Out of the box vbPortal has a system for managing a wide variety of content types which takes full advantage of the vbulletin usergroup and permissions system, including article moderation so members can submit article which will not appear in your site until you have used the built in moderation management system to validate and publish those articles. You can also have certain usergroups designated to not be moderated (trusted groups) which can then bypass the article moderation que. It suports multiple category management within each of the article types sub content systems, which in turn also take full advantage of the vbulletin usergroup permissions system. The included content types you can manage with vbPortal are Reviews, Downloads, Link Directory, General Content and Classifieds each with their own dedicated module. There is also a management system inlcuded for a Bug tracker or project manager content type and a web journal or Blog content type.

vbPortal is not just restricted to whats in the box, it is also very easy to add custom modules which can be single or multiple pages, and also custom blocks which can be related to or linked with modules or simply have some other content are also very easy to add and control the placment within vbportals module and block managment system. Custom modules can be very simple php pages to more complex code that can use the vbulletin database driver and use the mysql backend while using either or both vbportals and vbulletins language systems. There is an intuitive control panel for managing the administration of the entire content management system.
